Ryat was calling me the English bookworm, not because I'm English, rather that I studied English Literature in college.

I am from the South and have been to several parts of it. I have also been up north. The South is far nicer when it comes to people and good food. I also find Great Britain to be nice, both people and weather. California is nice, but legal things and earthquakes keep me out.

I don't care to have gay people hit on me, BUT have had it happen before and just told the guy I'm not gay. He left me alone after. Not much to get worked up over.

Grandfather engineered stuff for the Army back in the war and great uncle was career military (Korea and Vietnam). Beyond that, two neighbors and one friend that were military (all branches except air force).

Too bad it wasn't two days sooner, Stant, that woulda been 1337!

Banned because I usually avoid fast food at all costs, actually. But there's a restaurant called Stake N Shake near my house that serves the best cheeseburgers and shoestring fries I have ever tasted. Plus root beer floats, and these awesome white chocolate milkshakes.
There's not much I particularly like about America, but the food is really quite exceptional.

And I would count July 4 because although although the actual event being commemorated was more political than military in nature, the celebrations invariably dredge up lots of references to the military. Same thing with Flag Day.

Well, it would be the same thing with Flag Day, were anyone to give a damn about Flag Day.
