You're Banned!: The Forum Game

Okay, here's what you do for this game: You have to "ban" the person who posted above you for an outrageous, silly, or funny reason. Got it?

Banned for dope.

I never understood why cigarettes have a weaker age restriction than alcohol, but dope is completely illegal in the US.

banned for dope is most likely worse then either of the other two.

Lowers testosterone levels. Not good IMHO. Means more girly boys

Banned for I didnt know that :|

Btw, I believe that someone needs to be incredibly stupid to do drugs.

banned for not know enough about drugs to truly fear them

but yes, beyond incredibly stupid

Though some would point out that the lowering of testosterone levels might be good for society. Less aggressive people means less violence. Theoretically anyway.

banned for assuming I was promoting pacifism

I love peace and appreciate it, but sometimes you need to stop someone with hard cold violence (ex. Hitler)

Banned bringing Hitler into this.

No, actually drugs raise violence in society quite a lot. Drug dealers, protecting their "stuff", along with drug users doing everything they can to purchase the much needed (for them) dope, raises violence and criminality as well as corrupting many people on the way.

Banned because I don't give a damn about your testosterone levels. If you want to ban drugs, by all means do so, but don't permit tobacco and then ban marijuana.

Agreed. Everything needs to be banned.

But then, how would these tobacco companies make money? Hmm *_*

Banned for, doing drugs is a way of finding some peace in this corrupt and distorted world of ours, for some people.

Banned for agreed with scoutdog.

But people who feel this way will always be in the minority.

By the way morph people have to be kinda dumb to smoke tobacco too since it says on the packet it can kill you

@morpheas - banned for I said "theoretically" as in theoretically we all came from monkeys

banned for they will soon be putting graphical death symbols because people are sooooo stupid

I dont support the legalization of tobacco, in fact I feel the opposite way, like I already said. And yes, someone needs to be really dumb to smoke tobacco, but even dumber to do stronger drugs that will most certainly kill them.

And that was my point.

Everything needs to be banned (illegal), even nicotine, but "we" dont care about that, for the sake of profit. In other words, "I", as a big tobacco company, dont care if thousands of people get cancer and other severe conditions, as long as I make money from it.

Rat poison products have a death symbol on them, but you dont go and consume them, do you?

But guess what Ryat: People will still smoke even with death symbols on their cigarettes. Beyond stupid

Banned because I can't think of a ban right now.

Oh, wait.......

banned for banning when  you coldnt think of one :)

Banned because nicotine would be illegal if I discovered it a week ago. However, it's been in "successful" cultures (ie the cultures that have spread across the world more than others, and have in many cases tried to override them) since a long time ago.

white, black, republican, democrat = stupid

Banned because alcahol and caffeine may well be illegal if they weren't such a big source of cash for the producers and the Government.

banned because ultimately our world is a haven of sin, sin, and more sin.

did you know that a while ago scientists were on the edge of discovering a cure for cancer using what God has given us, vitamins. the government slammed it down and cut the research, there is no money in curing a disease, only TREATING it.

i agree with scoutdog, if your going to ban a drug, ban all of them.

banning myself for double posting.

Banning you for double-posting.

That cure-for-cancer-using-vitamins thing sounds fishy. I'm not saying it couldn't work, but a LOT of the properties vitamin sellers apply to "supplements" and vitamins are bogus. They do have health benefits, but the stuff about actually curing diseases is (usually) false.

I suspect there may also be a number of social/political factors contributing to the disproportionate dislike of marijuana as opposed to tobacco, in addition to profit (after all, Big Marijuana would at first glance seem just as easy to make money off of as Big Tobacco):

  1. Marijuana was introduced to the Western world long after tobacco. Anything new is going to seem scarier to people than something old, even if the old thing is in fact more dangerous.
  2. In America at least, marijuana is popular among young, urban demographics, while cigarettes are usually more popular among suburban and rural groups, specifically the ones who are somewhat older. The young, urban people tend to vote Democratic, while the older, more rural people tend to vote Republican. The Republican party (for those of you who have been living under a rock, they're the more conservative one) supports stronger drug laws in general, but more so for marijuana and less so for cigarettes. They don't want to tick off a portion of their voting bloc, and so they put the laws on the other party's main supporters.
  3. The psychological effects of marijuana are more immediately apparent, even though chemical addiction is impossible and the long-term health effects aren't quite as severe. If somebody's stoned, you know it.

Do you really think that if it was profit to be made out of curing cancer, they wouldnt have cured it already? Come on >_>
