You're Banned!: The Forum Game

Okay, here's what you do for this game: You have to "ban" the person who posted above you for an outrageous, silly, or funny reason. Got it?

banned for in the majority of cases, it is way cheaper not to bother with insurance. The only reason I can justify it with a car is that, unlike your health, usually fucking around directly influences the lives of others and driving is not a right. The biggest scam part comes in how health insurance rates are communistic. If you offer the coverage for a given rate, deal with the loss if things go wrong. Don't squeeze everyone else to make it up on your end while still making a healthy profit.

Banned for making perfect sense and solidifying my decision to become a Canadian citizen (eventually)

Banned for needing justification to become a canadian.

Banned for having a point

Edit: I am SO tired of the paste bugs in this forum, especially when they make it hard to clean up a reply when you notice that a stack of replies happened while you were typing. Can I ban the forum codebase without banning an overworked dev?

Banned for deep thought.

And yes, yes you can.  :D

Deep though:

"One day when I was a boy, I visited my grandfather on the farm.  While I was there, I asked him about sex.  He told me that instead of telling me about it, he'd take me out to the horse range and show me.  So I followed him there and saw my parents.  Out on the horse range.  Having sex."

Banned for a disturbing yet funny quote, ya grandpa

banned for that's how I need to teach my grandkids... and anyone else who broaches the subject.

Can't help you with the digressions... assuming that there really are any here.

Even homeowner's insurance is a scam. Stay off my property. My bullets bite worse than that broken fence.

Especially can't help you with the replies coming in before you. Once a page loads, it's a static imprint. Best I can suggest is to leave your post as is and just tack on an edit telling people how much you hate them for beating you to it. Back up with bullets as necessary.

Banned for there is no fence.

Banned because car insurance is mandatory in the USA if you are driving. You can get fined and even go to jail for not having insurance on your vehicle.

Banned for old but still true and funny pic and for being on the other side of a nonexistent fence.

Banned for being on de fence.

Banned for needing fencing lessons.

banned for fencing. Pick up a real sword.

And I know car insurance is mandatory. I was just stating why it's one of the few insurances I can understand having.

Banned because real swords are cool too.

Swords fail against guns, though.

Banned for bringing knives to a gun fight

banned because it depends on the gun and the environment.  Knives and swords can outperform and be more lethal.

A .50 cal sniper 500 yards away vs. a sword carrying maniac...  I'm giving it to the gun every time.

A small .22 of the palm sized variety, close quarters or hallway, I'm going with the swordsman every single time.

Banned because it doesn't matter if you nuke the building.

Banned because in close quarters, e.g. a cramped hallway, a pistol will be better than a sword. Sword needs some arm space to maneuver. A rapier, on the other hand, could be useful. Knives are also probably going to be better than a sword in a tight hallway.

Close combat, I am giving to the sword, as if you have the space to maneuver, it doesn't matter how much armor you have on, you're pretty dead.

Banned because the residents of Arizona are being bombarded with huge dust storms. Some meteorologists have called them "Haboob" after a very similar phenomenon common in the Middle East. Some citizens are really ticked off by what they see as an "unamerican" word:

“How do they think our soldiers feel coming back to Arizona and hearing some Middle Eastern term?”

“Who gave you the right to use the word ‘haboob’ in describing our recent dust storm? While you may think there are similarities, don’t forget that in these parts our dust is mixed with the whoop of the Indian’s dance, the progression of the cattle herd and warning of the rattlesnake as it lifts its head to strike."

Ok. So, yeah, "Ha-boob" is probably not the best thing to say on English-language network television. But seriously? Have these people nothing else to do with their time?

EDIT: I forgot. Did not make this up. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/22/us/22haboob.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=Haboob&st=cse

banned for thinking warzones have fewer idiots

Banned because I may be sadly wrong, though I wouldn't know, having never been in a warzone.

The .50 I agree on, but the second is 50/50.  .22 is just as leathal, assuming they have the same level of skill with their weapon.
