SINS opens up but screen goes blk

So I downloaded sins and it said it was successful, then I go to play the game, the screen goes black, and nothing happens. Now I dont know the exact requirements of my computer but I thought it could handle this seeing how it plays world of warcraft and similar games. Im not exactly sure if those are even close graghics wise though haha. Can anyone give me some advice on what may be happening?

If it helps any, I only have half the RAM required and a 1.2 GHz Processor. Is that the reason its not working?

Upon launch the game occasionally takes a while go load. Have you tried waiting? Might take up to maybe 30 seconds to 45 even, if you have the patience. Otherwise I've had the game crash upon loading and gave me a black screen until I alt-tabbed out and ended the process.

I have been playing Sins for a while now and it has always worked fine but now i am having the same problem as you.  I go to impulse and try to load the game but it goes to a black screen for about 30 seconds before shuting down.

If you only have half the RAM required and a 1.2 Ghz processor, your video card probably doesn't have enough power to run the game. I'm guessing you're running a Pentium 3 and 256 megs of RAM......my old computer ran about that.....I was lucky to be able to start up Command and Conquer 3, so I'm guessing your computer just can't handle it.
