I, just bought the game and i can only get past the license agreement and choosing either easy or advanced install then it stops and a fatal error occured during installation appears.

I would suggest you contact support via email for this one. You could also try installing via Impulse - just register the serial number and you can download the game, fully patched to the latest version.
If this is for the retail disc install, make sure to uninstall (not just delete, use the uninstall so it clears the registry stuff) the demo first, then it should work.
If you have too old of a computer or are running an old operating system, it might not support the game. Otherwise, I would contact support like Hack78 suggested.
