Btw if you guys choose random map this will happen, 90% of the time.
1.) After 5 minutes, someone realizes he has a nice, lightly guarded desert planet, surrounded by nebulas with four neutral extractors each, and they are nearby his HW.
2.) He happily takes them all.
3.) people from opposite side see him taking all of the advantages.
4.) Depend on the outcome of the battle, they whine about this and call it unfair.
5.) Depend on the situation a good amount of time wasted because of such stupid map imbalance.
Well, you need to be more specific about victory condition. Some side has bigger armies, while other has better eco. Some side has more planets but other side has better income.... You gotta put some prioities on the winning conditions, like this.
Since there is a high chance to become stalled in such game, some details are needed.
If 3 hours passed, stop the game and calculate follows (this should be done right after game ended since there is no guarantee that record would work perfectly.) Calculations should be done by one of members from each sides.
More planets : 7 pts.
Bigger army : 7 pts.
Number of ships destroyed : 5 pts.
Better credit income : 3 pts. --|
Better metal income : 2 pts. | ---- total of 7 pts for economy.
better crystal income : 2 pts. --|
Number of capitals alive : 0.5 pt each.
Such detailed conditions may be needed to eliminate disputes.
Of course, such complication also encourage mere surrender and more aggressive play to not think about it.....
