Hyperspaceing a starbase?

how do you do it

I need to make a starbase use the phase lanes for my mod  any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Ummm... I dunno, I guess in the file that the Starbase is under change it's identification from STARBASE to CAPITALSHIP or FRIGATE.  Not an expert at modding (or anything else in the SOASE world, I'm a total noob^_^' ), so ask some modding experts, Danman, Annatar or Teal are the three main modding pro's I would suggest.

no, as far as i know this can not be done. a starbase is a structure not a unit, so it can not phase jump to another grav well.

you would need to add in engine dummy points to the mesh, not to mention you could not have all the starbase upgrades then. (it lest not the trade, population or building upgrades)

Ok st, don't give it research and just allow it to make ships :)

well. it still cant produce ships without making an ability to spawn a specific ship. would look verry off when hyperspacing as well. but ya. if you just want the look you can make it level and  have it upgrade certian things through research instead. its all in what your looking for and how creative you want to be.
