Can't get any mods to work...

Well, I've downloaded 7 Deadly Sins and so I went to play it in C:/Documents and Settings/Owner/Application Data/Iron Clad Games/ Sins of a Solar Empire/Mods.        HOWEVER.        Inside of the Iron Clad folder, there stood no Sins of a Solar Empire folder. How do I fix this? I created one but that did not work. Please help.

To elaborate on what Harpo said - Once you start the game it should create a Mods - (game version) directory.

Yes I did. I clicked on show mod path so I knew where to put it, but that mod path doesnt exist and it was not automatically created.

sounds like you have the hidden folders problem. to fix the problem open 'my computer' click on tools, then on folder options then on the view tab and make sure that hidden files & folders are set to show hidden files & folders and while you are here I also suggest removing the tick from hide extensions for known file types then click ok.

now you should be able to see the 'local settings' and the 'application data' folders in the path C:\Documents and Settings\owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire.

in the sins folder you should see about 14 folders

hope this helps

I went into My computer and clicked on tools, however... there is no "folder options". There is the following: Map Network Drive, Disconnect Network Drive, and Synchronize.  Is there another way to do this?

one army, which flavour of windows are you using?

the folder for xp is as I stated and the instructions are for xp all versions ie home media centre and professional.

the folder for vista & windows 7(all versions) is C:\Users\owner\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\mods.

could this be the problem?

Alright, now it appears that I can see hidden folders. So I went back into ironclad games, but there is still no apparent folder showing up. The only folder inside the ironclad folder is one called "Particle Forge"

If ALL else fails, is it possible to change the mod directory?

I have solved the problem guys. I did see hidden folders, however I was looking in the wrong directory.

I was looking in C:/Documents and Settings/ Owner/ Application Data/Ironclad Games, and I should have been looking in C:/Documents and Settings/Owner/Local Settings/Application Data/ Ironclad Games.

I am sorry for the trouble that my own stupidity caused you all.

I am glad that you solved the problem. I suggest that you create a shortcut on the desktop to the sins folder
