Is it possible to eliminate wormholes from random maps?

As the title says, is it possible to eliminate wormholes from the random maps?  This game already has issues with trying to defend one's territory without adding points of entry within your own space.  I dread every game that I encounter a wormhole early on because it means I am forced to leave defensive fleets around it, reducing my frontier defenses.

I would simply enjoy the game more if I could eliminate the wormholes so that stars would be the only method of inter-system travel.

I tried removing the wormhole's .entity file, but that caused a crash on game loading.  Any other options?

BTW, I'm currently playing v1.16, not Entrenchment.  Can these starbases that Ent. adds be built in uncolonizable spots like wormholes, astoroid belts, and magnetic clouds?  That might make wormholes much easier to defend/fortify.

Hi!

is it possible to eliminate wormholes from the random maps?

AFAIK no. You need to use Map designer to create your own random map(s) where you don't add wormholes as a "planet" type. "Random mix" doesn't include them.

Can these starbases that Ent. adds be built in uncolonizable spots like wormholes, astoroid belts, and magnetic clouds?

You can also lay mines around wormholes (as Advent and Vasari at least). That's wicked cool!

The phase disruption ability of TEC starbases would be really useful against invading fleets coming through wormholes, unless they decided to take out the star base, in which case you can still put a dent in their forces.

Would it be possible to place the starbase near the center :D

Isn't the varssi starbase able to move? would it still transport it across to the other wormhole entrance?

Guess no one saw that.

Just make your own maps. Using in game map maker or Galaxy Forge. Easiest way.

What about removing Wormholes from GalaxyScenarioDef.galaxyScenarioDef file?

Well, after looking at some stuff on Entrenchment and then realizing it was only $10 and downloadable, I decided to go ahead and grab it.  Now, wormholes are no longer a problem, and in fact, I have one of the best Advent games I've ever had going (against the AI) and I haven't built much of a fleet yet, letting my 4 capitols and the star bases take care of everything.

Quite impressive, but I need to get my fleets built since I almost lost one base to major assault from one of the AIs.  Luckily, my cap fleet managed to arrive and save the day.  3 Halcyon carriers and a Progenitor MS, all nearly maxed out, really add quite a lot of firepower to a force.
