Trancencia and Capital Ship question

Does th game properly register the first weapon upgrade for the Trancencia starbase? I'm looking at it and I  don't see any laser fire just, plasma fire(thought they are similar and I might be missing it), but aren't lasers blue as opposed to plasma's purple?

 

Do the laser weapons (like the Radiance's broadside weapons) attack strikecraft like the ones on the defense vessels? Or is that specific to anit-strikecraft?

I'm pretty sure that the game does properly register the first wepon upgrade for the Trancencia. The blue lasers are small though and hard to notice, thats probobly why you didn't see them. I don't play Advent so I'm not really certain.

Only the lasers on defense vessels and fighters attack strikecraft.

If you look at the starbase, after upgrading to the 2nd level you should see 3 or 4 raised bumps on the top edge of the starbase with what looks like 2 black dots on each side. those are the new laser cannons.

the reason why it's so uncertain is that the lasers are also purple.  You do know that they are there however, because you hear the "pew-pew-pew-pew" (or whatever sound it makes).  Plasma are a lot quieter.

correct & correct again. plasmas have a deeper bass sound. big lasers are purple, small ones are light blue.

still think the transcencias long range weapons should be beam cannons; long range lasers makes no sense to me.

I thought the long range attack was the psionic surge thing? the wierd blue bolts that come out of the bottom and front
