Increase mana cost to ~375/490/560/645 and I think it'll work out a lot better.

Okay, then how does he face up to his 1v1 counter sedna. He has one bite essentially in a full mana pool, 300 damage and 300 health with like 150 extra damage in reduced armor, and sedna has enough mana to heal 1200 total. I don't see how that adds up.

its just Bite. the rest is fine. Bite needs a longer cooldown in my opinion. 7 seconds way too short, should be like 12 or 15. either that or increase the mana cost by a large amount. one of the two changes should fix it. as it is now Erebus has a huge amount of staying power combined with high burst damage capacity. one of those two things has to be changed. less staying power (higher mana cost for Bite) or less damage (higher cooldown for Bite).

Based on what...your opinion? No one has proved anything that factors in skill level, and teamplay; Just how they verse another erebus, regardless of the fact that it was in a pantheon match that has completely random factors with each matchup. You got spanked by him. People who claim to have played him, spank other people. I seriously doubt they've actually played someone good yet. If I were to make threads based off how i play in pantheon, every freaking demigod would be OP.

There are way too few premade teams to justify a balance change with so little diversity in play styles, so early into release. Theres so many factors to consider in balance, and you neglect all of them...

i think you should compare Bite and Penitence.

both abilities are somewhat similar, though there are important differences.

the numbers say alot. i don't think my argument needs to be explained all that much further from here. you can plainly see that the two skills have alot of overlap in their effect but the damage and mana efficiency on Bite is radically higher than Penitence (particularly so if you consider health drain to be like double damage). 

i know there are significant differences as well. Penitence is longer range. Penitence lasts longer. Penitence damage debuff applies to everything not just the stuff that is affected by armor. Penitence interrupts. all of these make the comparison not exact, but that doesn't detract from the main point.

either the damage or the mana cost of Bite is a bit wrong right now. thats the main point. and its pretty easy to see how wrong when you compare it to a very well balanced and popular and useful ability like Penitence. 

ive just started to play him and i kinda like his abilities (must try out the other generals though). But everything has a counter - thow a silence on him, buy the item that increases a persons mana cost to use abilities (forget the name) (since he is very mana dependent for a melee) use reg's ability counter.

Lots of ways to stop it. - though i agree the combination of a healing bite with a few priests in the background helps alot.

leave the lane and put a ranged guy in there instead.

Your argument does not include:

Base mana; Erebus has LOWER base mana than Oak. The mana cost does not translate. GFG

Your argument also does not include:

ALL OF THE OTHER DEMIGOD skills. While bite steals health, Oak has invuln and can heal up by whacking creeps. All that erebus has is a stun and a small damage teleport that is used to chase, or to run away. They fucking balance out. You're fucking retarded. Stop comparing charts when you have no idea how to properly compare two DEMIGODS.

Bite isn't OP with damage/heal, but with the slow/armor effect, it IS. And kiting him is useless since he can TP next to you making him slightly OP compared to most other DGs. He simply has too much "utility" and mobility for a non-support DG. With one skill he does: Good damage, Good heal, Make the target softer for all other attacks, slow so he can't escape. That's too much goodness for one button press.

Perhaps the slow effect can be nerfed to be 5/10/10/15 so at least people can try to escape while being focused with the armor debuff.

And pls stop saying silence is a counter to Erebus, its a counter to averything so it really doesn't count as an "Erebus counter"

I agree, his other skills also need to be reworked for the bite nerf to be effective.
