Can't find my map in entrenchment

I just downloaded the galaxy forge 3 and threw together a quick map. When I went into entrenchmen to see how it came out, I could find it. I saved the file in the entrenchment galaxy section. Is there something I am doing wrong?

yes, you did XD

as you see there is a galaxy.manifest file in the entrenchment folder is there a galaxy.manifest. add your galaxy to it and update the fileCount.

and place your map in the Sins/Galaxy, not in the Sins/Entrenchment/Galaxy... (few maps of ours didn't start from there :'( )

ohh, and next time read the pinned posts (especially the "Galaxy Forge - Beginner's Guide") and use search, i heard it is really useful, haha :P

well you could put it as a mod, add it to your mod, then put a "Galaxy" folder and then adding a galaxy.manifest

If you are using entrenchment 1.02 or sins 1.16 the manifest is no longer needed for maps.

You just need to copy your galaxy files in this folder (win XP):

 C:\Documents and Settings\"Your Username"\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\GalaxyForge

and when you want to select your map just cycle through the maps screens until you get the galaxy forge screen and there are your maps now.

kanetoth, assuming you have sins 1.16/entrenchment 1.02,  the galaxy forge maps NEED to be placed here for xp
C:\Documents and Settings\'user name'\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\GalaxyForge

or here for vista/windows 7
C:\Users\'user name'\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\GalaxyForge.

NOTE the first two folders after the 'user name' are hidden , so to see them you must first click on 'tools' then 'folder options', then 'view', then click on 'show hidden files& folders' then click ok, then you will be able to browse your want to the folder. I suggest when you find the folder that you create a shortcut to it on the desktop

also the galaxy forge maps only show up in the galaxy forge tab of map types

But if you have sins 1.15 & entrenchment 1.01 then neterw's advice is correct & I had released a galaxy manifest manager which is included in my sins map updater V1.18 which updates sins version 2 maps to version 3.

and if a map you want to play was released before 25th feb 2009 then you will also neet the sins map updater from here
http://files.filefront.com/sins+map+updater+v200rar/;13585432;/fileinfo.html, which will update version 0,1 & 2 to version 3

hope this helps
