Speed Mod

I googled it and tried searching on the forums since I figured that something like this would a popular mod... but I guess not. If I missed something obvious then please tell me.

Basically, I'm looking for a mod that just speeds up the game, nothing fancy. Preferably Entrenchment 1.02 compatible... My friend and I just got the game last week and we're hooked... just not so fond of the overall time investment per game.

just press "+" button and go max 8x times faster, but it tends to lag your computer though

or create a mod where you get resources like mad from the resources and go faster that way

Are you meaning you want it even faster than the game settings 'fast' modes allow?

hi

the is no official reference file for entrenchment for 1.02... but as i saw, someone mad an unofficial one, if you find that, there will be in it the gameplay.constants. and in this file you can modify the speed as you want... the buildSpeed, the  researchSpeed, the incomeSpeed etc.

Here's the game speed enhancer I use when I play with some of my friends. This works with entrenchment 1.02. Throw it in to your mod directory & load it from the settings directory and play away (you'll both need the mod running).

Also note that only the "Fast" game speed has been increased in speed!

nacey? you have ref. data for ent. 1.02?

1.02 ref data can be converted from the binary in the main folder, just copy the main gameinfo folder over somewhere to work on it, like my documents, and then used dakronic's gui tool, which pulls the convertdata_entrenchment file to drop into a destination folder. Please check some of the files, typically asteroids and some other files have not converted to text properly, i dont know why, perhaps they need convertdata (standard) also, as entrenchment only pulls a portion of the gameinfo files, you will probably have to convert the standard gameinfo entitys to get the remainder.

Take care and let us know,

p.s. i dont think the ref data is "officially" released yet, probably with the next forgetools release.

thanks for the infos, but without developer i can't work, i still testing things (and myself) out  as i saw there wasn't any crucial changes in the engine... and that memory saving thing never caused us any problem

so i'm waiting for the next forgetools release
