Kingston USB Stick Driving me Crazy!

Hi all,

I've been struggling with this problem for "hours" now and I'm at a lost. I'm hoping you techies can help me out. I have a problem with my Kingston 8 Gb Data Traveler USB drive. Here are the details:

- It works on computer "A", but not on computer "B".

- On computer B, the USB is recognized. When I try to "copy and paste" a file to the memory stick, it gets "stuck" halfway.

- After a while, computer "B" complains with the following:

" Error Copying File or Folder. Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name."

I am running Windows XP home.

Why is this happening?

I have already formated the USB key, change drive letters, and check that I have USB 2.0 drivers installed. The fact that it works on another computer means the USB key is intact. I'm really at a lost.

I would appreciate any pointers.

Thanks.

I forgot to add another detail to my first email.

After I close the error message mentioned in the third bullet, and check the memory stats for the USB key. Everything reads zero!

              - The capacity of the USB key is 0 bytes.

              - The memory used is 0 bytes.

Not sure if this means anything.

Thanks again.

Insert the stick on a computer that works, once it shows up, right click, and the press format but you will lose the information on it, by the looks of it, you probably won't be able to retrieve the info anyway
