Bomber spam

how do you stop those bomber spams

i recently played a game agianst a player that would have lost had he played conventionally. i laucnhed my assault on his empire knowing he had around 25 carriers.no big deal when you have 20 flak frigs and 12 advent carreirs with figheters and bombers. so his fleet shows up after a minute and he has about 50 bobmers squads(hes tec). he blows up both my caps in less than a minute and wipes out 75% of my fleet. so i retreat and have a good eco so i rebuild my fleet and and start chasing his fleet of 45 carreirs,60 javels and 2 marzas. i had 26 carriers and 3 new caps 2 of them cap carriers with the fighter repulsion deal and he wears down my fleet and destroy everything except 20 carriers. then i quit. any help to counter this strategy

Your best defense (as Advent) against bomber spam is the Halcyon Carrier's telekinetic push.  This will break up that cloud of bombers and give your fighters time to destroy them.  If you have three or four (plus sufficient anti-matter upgrades) you become virtually impervious to strike craft. 

TEC can use their Kol with flak barrage or their Dunov with magnetism (flak barrage will require at least two Kol's synchronizing their barrages to ensure a kill).  Vasari can use jam weapons to disable those bombers for a while.  However, I personally think Advent is in the best position with telekinetic push and lots of fighters to back it up.

In any case, you should try to scout ahead of time to get an idea of what your opponent is doing.  Mass bombers is a very devastating strategy, but if you attack before he has a critical mass of them you can clean them up quite nicely with fighters.

I think the main thing you did wrong was engaging the enemy when you were clearly out numbered. 3 new capital ships do not make up for an over 70 ship difference. You were sorta asking to get ass-whooped
