install problem

so I just got the game today and when I tried to install it this error screen came up:

"The installation for Sins of a Solar Empire has failed:'Fatal error during installation'. Please check your settings and try again."

so I am wondering if there is something that I'm doing wrong or is it just a bad CD or what?

Make sure to uninstall the demo first, that's the most common cause of this error.
