9 Insane AI

Ok, I am playing a game in which I have 9 insane all teamed up against me. Both me an the AI have access to more than 30,000 supply. What is the best stragety to defeat the AI? No pirates. Both the same race.

1. Commando style? use massive Sins Zergling rush?

2. Build up fleets and then attempt to destroy one an other?

How do you have 30,000 supply? The 10 of you together shouldn't have that much...

I think you need to explain what you mean by that. However, if you're just starting a normal 9v1, the only thing you can do is turtle, then pop out one planet at a time. Rush out to 2 chokepoints that can defend your entire empire. Depending on the map, this may mean only having 2 or 3 planets. Quickly build repair stations and a starbase. Wait for their fleet to attack. After killing an invading fleet, push out one planet and take it over. Build starbase and repair stations. Rinse and repeat. I'm fairly certain this is the only way to defend yourself against 9 unfairs. Even this will require some map luck, though it is possible. Once you have a sizable chunk of the universe, the dominoes fall faster, and you can be a lot more lenient in your defenses.

I'm guessing you've modded the game to give each player 30k fleet supply?

All I can say is be prepared to watch a slide show... I don't know of any machine avaliable for private use that can handle 300k fleet supply's worth of ships.

Rofl I am lagging like hell right now so, ya. What my stragegy is right since this is original sins, is to continue rushing my fleet, I only return the fleet if it is totally cripple in which i bring in another fleet to take it's place. But the thing is that, even with the enemies having the other 27k ships, my fleets are barely even stratched.

Perhaps he meant that all players COMBINED have 30,000 supply, so each person has 3,000 fleet supply, not to far away from the normal 2,000. What I don't understand is how to mod in general, but that's just me.

No each person has 30,000

If you're looking for a big challenge, have you considered online multiplayer?

Like InfiniteVoid said I cant even imagine how 30k supply for each player will even work. No Machine I even know of could run that without being a server mainframe. What the heck are you even running this on?

XP :), I just finished that game, had to rushed them all.

it was epic, I mean, 9000, from like 3 fleet or so vs another 9000 ships with dynamic movement is unbelieveable. Of course, had to slow it down to like 1x and it still lagged, issued orders when it was paused, each time waiting for like 10 seconds or so.

I find your claims highly dubious, Mooster.

Really.

remember the last one, on my side is just only 1 fleet of 10 fleet of 355 ships in each fleet

Hmm, Star Trek. Nice job with changing the interface.

This gives a new meaning to "insane".
