Little help please for a noob

I'm a complete noob when it comes down to modding, frankly I have never done it before. I tried out the Forge Tools but it just seems to be laughing at me and crashes my game just trying to do the novice tutorial modding. So I'm just wondering if there is some sort of instructions that can break it down for me barney style before I just end up throwing my key board out the window

the crashes could be because you have 1.16/entrenchment 1.02 and the forge tools are for 1.15/entrenchment 1.01

a couple of modders have uploaded the txted sins1.16/entrenchment 1.02 files which should help your crashing problems

if you are going to throw something through a window, MAKE sure that the window is open!!!
