Using 5 or 6 flak as escort can fully suppress 14-15 squads of fighters and make them almost ineffective against about 20 LRMs. Good luck getting light frigates anywhere near the flak with 20 LRMs protecting them. I agree something needs to change. If fixing LRM spam was the goal before then the 75% build penalty against carriers has reversed the trend.

Ya, what he said^........... and its not just a whine thread. Its more of an omfg what the flying f__k are you guys doing thread. Also I feel I've been with the game since release. So I've earned the right to bitch if it is called for.  From 1.01 to 1.02 entrenchment we went from a small but manageable carrier spam issue and mainly flak was just too weak. So they buffed flak and nerfed carriers. It seems to me the one cancels the other. Hince a new or reoccuring issue. This new nerf not only kills carriers it kills there counters. This only promotes huge early lrm flts. Which no S*** favors Advent.

Koda that doesnt work at all. you can spam HCs but any good player who is rushing will see your 5 labs and kill them pretty quickly.

Really to counter a teir 2 unit you shouldnt have to build a teir 5. and look at how much more expensive HCs are.

the only real counter to lrfs again is with the advent. their scouts have the same stats as their LFs, making them an effective counter to lrfs but, TEC and Vasari scouts dont work near as well.
