Reviews based on other players are always good as some criticism or praise is always a good thing. Sadly you cant avoid some bias, especially when ranking is put in place (i.e tiers) based soely on reviews and not statistics. All i see in some player made ranks in a variety of games, simply consists of small handful of players satisfying their own their own ego. Anyway, player reviews = cool, player reviews + ranks based on opinions and no supporting statistics? = meh.
Thats not to say some players dont deserve praise when its due. I just feel with that god list thread, if they removed the "tier" rankings and kept it only on reviews on players, there should be no problems. Leader Boards/ Ranks should be left to the professionals (i.e CoD/BF) or atleast have it done properly. (i.e Fan forums such as HSG with ladders)
