If you could change some of the neutral nodes on gas giants and have some of the planet's extractors turned into moons that would be rad. The uncolonized mesh would be a simple moon with an icon on the top. the colonized would have mines on it or orbital platforms. I think you could even have particle effects where it looks like the orbitals shoot lasers into the moon. 

that would be an epic win.

Well, it probably be better if you put planetary systems instead of single planets

and to Tkins, the way to do that right now if probably to replace the asteriod mesh with the barren moon mesh from the celestial or the distant star mod

Well, Ive gotten permission to use the Celestial Bodies mod, Urban Expansion and Distant Stars still pending.

Also, I need some planet and star ideas

make it so after a planet is bombarded enough times it becomes a 'shattered' or dead planet with little value

Planet idea- Independant starbases, similar to pirate bases exept they dont attack and can be taken over, #2, a 'starship graveyard' of sorts that cannot be colonized- similar to space junk exept they hold a kind of salvage value

ok, I need a new mod name, turns out this is already taken by DANMAN

What I mean is that instead having 1 planet per gravity well, maybe have 3 or 4

Can't.  The game only allows one planet per well.

What if you make the mesh have multiple planets

the mesh "is" the planet.  It might be possible to use something else in the well, that is then given another planet, or moon, or oversized asteroid, or asteroid mesh. But to be honest, unless the planet is huge, it will eat up a lot of space, meaning your ships and the enemies will be dodging large bodies in the well as they fight. Which might actually be a very cool thing.

I was going to use GALACTIC SINS as my next mod's name.  Oh well, back to the drawing board then for a new name.
