LAN Games

with just one version

I have recently baught a copy of Sins of a Solar Empire and while reading the instruction manual I noticed that I can A - download the game with my key after registering it, and B -  the manual says I can play the game with another person via LAN using the same key. Now before I go ahead and do just that I wanted to double check - it is OK to download a second copy of Sin of a Solar Empire for a friend, using my key, so that we may play it together on LAN?

As far as i know this is fine. I don't think you can both be connected online at the same time though. This is purely for LAN games. If you're friend likes the game tell him to buy a copy here on impulse and he won't be dissapointed. Hope this helps.

Yes, it's okay to install the game for your friend, but since he doesn't own it, you should uninstall it after the LAN and poke him with a cattle prod until he buys his own copy ;)

Are you all sure about that? I mean it just doesn't sound right.. Assuming it does not get removed off the friends system, he/she can play it at home single player without having to pay for it.. Just doesn't sound right

That's pretty cool.. Guess when you think about it it is a pretty good marketing scheme..

You can also play it in online multiplayer via Ironclad Online, including playing games with just your LAN friend(s).
