Installation "Error Reading from file"

Ey, been looking around for sollutions for this issue, but could not find >.>
This is a fresh new "super"(vista) pc, and I thought I'd try out this fancy looking game, but during installation it poped up 'an error reading from file', and that I should verify that the file exists, I clicked Try Again, and it worked. But then another one came, that it refused to find. "D:\data\OFFLINE\4F461015\BC98F22D\EventTech_BountyIncreasedOther.ogg"

I checked manually on the cd, and the file was infact there. but seemed to be empty, as it appeared to require 0 bytes.
What is going on here?

Some drives have had issues reading the discs.. you could simply download Impulse from http://www.impulsedriven.com, register your serial # and then download the fully-patched game so you don't have to install from the disk. You'd need Impulse to update anyway, and with all the patches your download size wouldn't be that much different :P

The serial # allows you to re-download it as many times as you need.

It would be best to install via Impulse as you have the game registered to your account. If you would like an archive which you could back up, use Impulse Anywhere http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/Default.aspx

You can sign into Impulse Anywhere with your Stardock.net account and download the installer/archive files for the game which you can then back up to portable media if you would like.
