Ok, so I just have a random question here. When I was picking my avatars, I was torn between two choices, the one I have and this one:
My question is, how many people would actually know what that avatar is of?
should it matter if others know what your avatar is?
Your avatar has personal meaning for you, if others get the reference great if not that is thier loss
right. This was a purely out-of-curiousity question, not to actually decide my avatar.

Current. Don't worry about people not recognising yours. Mine is much more cryptic.

I do think your current avatar is quite cool though.
My avatar is the only avatar-sized pic I have that matchs the filetypes the forum takes. All I have are bitmaps 
you chose whatever avatar you want. If it dosent fit, then crop the image to your liking. Many are cryptic while mine is both Badass and Unknown (sort of an Oxymoron)
If you're running Vista, MS Paint can save as jpg and png.
