How can I get better?

Ive recently bought entrenchment and have  played 50+ games overall and am still having the floor mopped with me.

I haven't been getting any better and am hoping someone can give me advice or do a game with me to tutor me

Look out for Azrak or [_]-Azrak when you're online. Checking the sticky regarding strategies/counters in the Strategy forum would help as well.

Post a replay for some of the experts to analyze.

Only advice i can offer is map out your priorities accordingly. Proper defenses when you know the opposing force is a rush tactic and etc. I can honestly say that for me, speed is my downfall. Some players can tech, build and micromanage fast being somewhat of a routine or patter to them.

I suggest watching replays and then paying attention to what the good players did.  Try to reverse engineer your strategy.  Is it also possible that given your style of play you would be better off with another race?

or better off in single player.....ask Proletari ingame or one of my smurfs,I love to teach newbies.

One of the habits I needed to break was colonizing without upping my fleet. I'd end up researching or upgrading but then I'd get a whisper from the AI to let me know they were going to attack. Their fleet would be bigger and I'd have to start retreating and then building up my forces. This would happen almost every game. But then I'd watch my replays from the AIs pespective and make notes like when does it start to get a bigger fleet.

Watch your own replays and download multiplayer replays. I've learned so much from them. If you can post a replay in this thread I'm sure the community will advise. Also here is an excellent counters thread.

Yes, replays is key.  Each multiplayer game you play automatically records.  After the game, go to single player, then choose "Watch Game", then choose "Multiplayer auto recorded games".  Look at the players list and jot down the build order of the players who did well/are playing the race that you enjoy playing.

You will find that this will exponentially improve your game!

Hope that helps!
