Is my PC good enough to run sins of a solar empire?

I have no clue if it does, I have a workstation you see, it runs some games with higher reqs (World in Conflict) but games with shitty graphics wont work (L4D).

 

Anyone knows?

 

It has Windows XP on it.

 NVIDIA Quadro FX 3000 is your likely problem-- I don't think these cards were ever made with blistering Direct3D performance in mind... they're optimized for [OpenGL?] -- maya and 3DStudio benefit from cards like this-- not the latest greatest PC games. Why WIC works well and the others don't Im not sure of...

 

Someone kick me if I'm wrong-- just my understanding.

I downloaded and installed the demo, it worked fine.

Not the best graphics but it's alright.

 

So I guess I'll be off buying sins then :D

There's a good chance you'll be able to get the fully patched game running better.. they've done a lot of optimizations for lower-end hardware in patches over the year.
