Wormhole Hub.

I was wondering if it was possible to have a single wormhole connect to multiple interstellar wormholes elsewhere in the universe. I haven't actually attempted it yet via notepad as I had planned to do it as the final stage in a galaxy I am creating.

Any help or information regarding this would be appreciated.

I had tried a similar layout but found that it is 1 wormhole to 1 wormhole only I had tried various layouts from 1 to 1 to 1 to 5 wormholes in one map but only 1 to 1 worked as intended in the map design the only workaround that I found was build the 1 to 1 wormholes & have a dead asteroid or other normal space on a SHORT phase jump away from many wormholes.

hope this helps

now... could someone make a "all wormholes lead to rome" type map where every player has a 1 way wormhole to an otherwise unreachable system?

That might be a cool map... that might not required modding... (but would require people shareing the map... which is a PAIN because of no auto-download... *hint* *hint* *CoughCouIRONCLADghCough*)

"strange portals to another point in space far outside this galaxy have begun popping up in this system...  Do you explore this uncharted region, and attempt to colonize it, or do you cement your power on our local region first?  Make your choice carefully, as it seems that the trip is... one way."

(although in second thought... if one player colonized the uncharted region... and gets kicked off the main system... he would have no way back to defeat the other player... which could lead to a stalemate... at least untill the superweapons start being thrown... hehe...but even then... a single colony capital ship prevents losing by 0 planets... and a vasari player had no way to neutralize planets... so maybe a semi-rediclous long and convoluted trip back through the dead astroids and plasma storms between the void between galaxies would be a possible way back to the origional system)

:)  It is ALWAYS worth a try...  :)  And who knows?  I have had ideas i thought couldnt be pulled off, only to have it "somewhat work" when i turned the idea on its head, with suggestions from other modders that pointed me in the right direction, and more than a few ideas that people gave me that was the solution all by itself.

The modding community here is wonderful!!  Alot of good people, ask around, someone is bound to help you figure out a way to pull it off, or something close to it.  :)  Just dont give up if you really want to try it, giving up means of course that it wont see the light at all. I'm over my head on this Huge Planet mod thingy and tearing my hair out, haha, but haven't given up. I just am slowing down as i keep working on it.  :)

Each wormhole can only have one destination. However, if wormhole A that goes to wormhole B, wormhole B doesn't have to go to wormhole A, it can go to wormhole C, but your ships will have no way to return to wormhole A.

Unless of course if you make a wormhole ring of sorts, which would make for another interesting map. Each player gets his own system with a wormhole linking to all the others in a circular pattern, so 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 5 .... 8 -> 1 and so on.

You got it. Of course I haven't made one of those sense pre-entrenchment, but it should still work. B)
