Startup Mini-movie

Personally, i would love to have a longer cutscene at the beginning of the game, when you start it up. Vanilla Sins had a really good one, and i was sorta disappointed with this expansion's cutscene. I really liked the concept of someone sitting in a chair and controlling something big in space. Please, devs, make this movie longer.

id like a big explosion where it zooms out to a starbase exploding, maybe some laser fire around it, and then the entrenchment thing pops up. only a few seconds longer, and its awesomly kickass.

Yeah. I was thinking of a massive Vasari fleet jumping into the gravity well, and the crew of the starbase are running to their battlestations, and then the captain issues the order to self destruct. Then its what Guywho said.

That would seem kind of counter to the point of a starbase dont you think? Massive fleet jumps in and we self....destruct? Not fight to the death? It would be better having the starbase blow the hell out of the fleet and then blow up.

Well, its just a suggestion. What im thinking is that the captain knows he already lost, so he destroys the station before the fleet can disable the self destruct.

I always thought it was the vasari, and those bajillions of red blimps / blue dots are the "unknown" threat chasing and now surrounding them as they begin to catch up.

If you have the Sins of a solar empire: Sacriface of Angels, the Star Trek mod for the game, I believe you could create your own movie for the startup. I think you have to create a mod folder and then create a subfolder called Movie and save it as a bik

Yeah, but i want something official, so i could enjoy it without seeing my own work and knowing what will happen.

Out of luck then.

How's GWYDN?

Back on topic, you can watch the original cinematic by just turning cinematics on in the options if that matters to anyone. The red button scene seems cool too though.
