I have found that the convertdata_originalsins.exe and convertdata_entrenchment.exe that are shipped with sins & entrenchment updates ARE NOT BACKWARD compatible ie a file converted to bin with entrenchment 1.01's convertdata_entrenchment.exe MIGHT NOT convert to text when the entrenchment 1.03's convertdata_entrenchment.exe is used. the only workaround that I have found is to have EACH version of the convertdata*.exe's  and to select which one based upon the version that was used to convert to bin.

the probabilty of fail to convert is propotional to the number of versions between the version that converted to bin and the verion that is attempting to convert to text eg entrenchment 1.01 to bin and entrenchment 1.03 to text has a lot more errors than entrencment 1.02 to bin and enrenchment 1.03 to text, but it will still have errors
