Marza Dreadnought Replacement

Well, I love the Marza as a ship, but not its looks. So with my very limited skills in the world of 3d model and such, i have manage to get a model that i would like to replace the marza model with. With that being said, i hope i did get the UV maps and tangent maps right.

Thats how it looks, unfortunately, i cant zoom out anymore or else the ship disappears, dunno why. Now assuming i did the UV and tangent mapping right, onwards to the rootpoints, which i have no idea how many to input since i cant access the mesh file from the mesh folder without paying 300$ for 3dmax. Also i dont know how to merge two meshes from different files together (turret mesh + ship mesh).

I have uploaded the ship model and AC Turret model here : http://www.filefront.com/14030009/Scenes.rar. If anyone wishes to help out, here are some screenies on how i want it to turn out (of course you can modify the textures to how you like it also).

The ship model (Naglfar) belongs to CCP, just using it for non profit ...etc

Thats a cool looking ship there taskforce3.

 What mesh file from what folder are you looking to access, to work out how many rootpoints to input?

 If you looking for the ones that the Marza has you don't need 3DMax. You just need to convert the mesh file from binary with a convertdata GUI. The mesh file for the Marza is labeled "CapitalShip_TechSiege", its in the mesh folder of vanilla SoaSE game folder. It has 60 null points I believe. I could post them if you wish.

its basically a big, ugly, upright surfboard?

I have to say... thats a butt ugly ship mate... not only is it not congruent with TEC style, but its just boring and ugly...

i want to say here though, i really, truly dont mean to sound like an ass, or like im flaming you... but its my opinion that its a boring and ugly model

still, well done, its further than i could get, so kudos to you for trying!

 A surf board??? Man I hope you don't drop in on me sometime LOL. Though thats not gonna happen if your board looks like that. It looks like something out of Home world to me. I don't mind it, but everyone to their own I guess.
