i just emailed them.  i was hoping i can get this fix without having to do so.  oh well its kind of frustrating just because i had to buy entrenchment twice and than this.  i dont know a whole lot about computers but i have no idea what the issue is and i was hoping alot of people had this problem and was an easy fix.

If you bought it twice then they should be able to refund you for one copy as well.

Rocky, I caught a support tech on IRC and asked him to take a look at this thread, he said they need the following:

1) Impulse error log
2) The output of this batch file: http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/enumerate_impulse_settings.bat
3) Your dxdiag

Obviously I don't know what you sent and your emails with them, but here's how you get what you need:

1) Impulse error log - Start up Impulse and try to install Entrenchment. After you get the error, click on the blue ? icon in the very top right corner of Impulse and select View Error Log. You can copy/paste it into a text file and attach to your e-mail.

2) The batch file. Go to that URL and you will probably see a page with a bunch of text. Copy/paste that text into a plain text file (use Notepad) and save it as impulse_settings.bat. Make sure you give it the .bat extension when you're saving, don't leave it as a .txt. Save it somewhere like C:\ so you can find it easily, then double-click it in Windows explorer. It will create a file on your desktop (and it'll tell you that it created it), just attach it to the e-mail.

3) Dxdiag. Go to Start > Run and type in 'dxdiag' without the quotes. If you have Windows Vista, just type dxdiag into the search box when you go to Start. Hit enter and the program will run. Once it's done (the progress bar in the bottom left goes away) click "Save All Information" and leave the name as it is. Also attach that file to your e-mail.

That should be all they need.
