As Diplomacy starts to get closer to beta, we're going to be making some changes to the Sins of a Solar Empire website so that players can participate with the development of it (similar to what is done on https://www.elementalgame.com).
No official ETA yet on Diplomacy. It's more of a "When it's done" type thing. But things are going well.
A sign of life? 
Seriously speaking "takes as long as it takes" is the right apporach, hope to hear some details soon.

Since we will be getting a huge flood of details, not to worry. I think what I and others had asked was for a simple news post weekly about what was going on.

nice to hear a lifesign. now, of course, I am curious what those changes will be, like polls or open discussion or whatever. and 'starts to get closer to beta' also sounds sweeet. interestingly enough: is there no name yet or will it simply be called diplomacy? I mean that would be fine, but having a product almost in beta stage and not knowing its name is perhaps uncommon (though it would be exactly the stuff happening to me, I'm bad at naming).
Will it be called Dilpomacy? or is that just sort of an in progress thing.
If you are going to tweak the website, be sure to look at the server specs (memory/bandwdth/cpu/database memory usage settings/server-side script memory limit).
As it is, the forum occasionally takes forever to load pages sometimes, and usually when it does it the page loads without the comments.
Blair! Succumb to peer pressure and post some details on the expansion!
That said, it's great that it's getting closer to beta.. though it'd have to be since you can't be working backwards

That's great news. I'm totally into participating and want to give lots of feedback.
What's karma supposed to do? Is it like some other boards where friends or fanboys give each other 'points', and it's supposed to amount to a kind of imaginary rank?
Or do we get cash payments? Or guaranteed reincarnation?
