Game buying questions.

The Game of the Year version recently hit a local retailer. What does this version offer vs. other versions?

What level of patches will it include?

It appears to me that Entrenchment is download only. I live in a rural area, no hi-speed internt, so any major downloads are very problematic. Since Entrenchment is a major addition to the game, would it be better for me to wait and see if a combined Sins and Entrenchment are released in one physical copy?

 Thanks for any info.

I think the GOTY doesn't include the patches, they all require online download

as for entrenchment offline, i think they are going to make it onto disc after all of the expansion has been released

I don't understand why ICG wouldn't include all of the patches up to the date they started making the GOTY edition.

I also don't understand why they are releasing a GOTY edition when only one of the three expansions have been released.

Copy protection. My guess is that they want people to have to log onto Impulse in order to update the game.  If they released a retail version that was fully patched then it could be easily pirated.

Maybe they want to get the game back on store shelves.
