Serial Mumber Problem

Hey there everyone. I tried e-mailing Stardock's support before coming to the forums, but was unable to send the email because of how confusing the whole setting up of the email server was tio me, anyways, I purchased the original retail version of Sins of a Solar Empire at Gamestop quite awhile ago(I forget exactly how long...). I neglected to register my copy of the game online because at the time I had no interest of playing SoaSE online until I practiced against the AI and mastered it a little more. My friend who turned me on to SoaSE mentioned earlier this week that the micro expansion Entrenchment had come out, and I was interested right away. (We dont exactly follow the news or we would've had it much sooner! : P) I purchased Entrenchment today via digital download, as I beleive that is the only way it's available to be purchased, and registered it when I was prompted for installation. However, I apparently need to (from my understanding) register my original SoaSE game and download some updates before I can play/install Entrenchment. My problem is that I have no idea where that game case is anymore, I beleive it was lost in translation when I moved a month ago. I keep all my game CDs together in a carrying case, but the original case is nowhere to be found. Does anyone think there's anyway for Stardock to provide me with a new serial number so I can register my original copy and be able to play the game I payed for? If that's not an option, maybe they would give me a refund for the $9.95 I spent on an expansion I have no way to install/play.Thanks for the help!

Hmm, well, it would be slightly annoying to pay an additional fee to be able to play the expansion I bought, but it is after all my fault I dont have the original serial. Hopefully I'll get a response from Stardock soon : ]

well if you want to buy one off of them. jus email them asking to buy one and they will send you a link to a product on impulse(teh serial number) and you will get emailed it(i think)

That could work, my only problem is e-mailing Stardock in general. I tried emailing their support about this problem before coming to the forums, but hit a brick wall at the very end. It was having my set up some kind of e-mail server? I know nothing about that, and had to abandon sending the e-mail at that point : (

You don't need to set up your own server, just email us from the hotmail account you have linked to your forum account.

Sorry about not replying, had a power outage : <

Thanks for the info Kryo, I can't really explain what was stopping me from sending the e-mail last time. I'll try again, using more or less the same information as the post. The e-mail, unless I'm mistaken, is [email protected]?
