I received an email that it was available, so I downloaded Impulse on to my Windows 7 machine. However, I cannot find it. I need to know how to download it - I am a Obkect Desktop Ultimate subscriber.
Hmmm, are you sure it's Object Desktop 7 Beta? Maybe it was WindowBlinds 7 Beta.

If it's not showing up under the My Software Tab in Impulse check under Preferences that you have 'Show pre-release versions' checked.
I opened the tray icon, set preferences to display alpha and beta, restarted Impulse, but it made no difference. I re-booted and opened Impulse, it still did no good. There are no betas showing.
Open Impulse and click on the Icon in the top left hand corner and select Preferences and click on reset data. Let that run, when it's done restart Impulse and then go to the My Software Tab and see if WB 7 is there.
