Crashes upon loading a map

I purchased Sins of a Solar Empire + Entrenchment quite a while ago. I recently have began playing the game again. Initially, the game ran flawlessly... Not a single problem (Single player and multiplayer). As of recently, though, the game freezes and gives me a Minidump error whenever I try and load a map. The game launches perfectly fine, but as soon as I try and start a match it crashes. I do not understand why this would randomly stop working. I have not changed anything about my computer to cause this.

My system Specs:

EVGA 790i Ultra Mobo
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.5Ghz
EVGA 9800GTX+ Graphics cards (SLI)
8GB DDR3 RAM 1600Mhz
1TB Seagate HDD
250GB Maxtor HDD
1000W PC Power and Cooling PSU
Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate

I have the graphics maxed out in-game and it ran flawlessly, never had a framerate dip. I have no Mods installed either. I recently updated my Nvidia drivers to the latest version hoping that would somehow solve my issue. It did not. I also tried reinstalling the game through impulse and that did not help either.

Any idea what could be the problem?

does any other program give problems?

if not then try  verifying the sins/entrenchment installation

if yes then it could be ram causeing the problem, shut down the computer, remove & re-install ram, if problem persists the test ram with a ramtest program(could be a faulty ram stick), also might be an oxidized connector so  unplug and re-plug all the connectors to hdd's.

hope this helps

Verified installation and there was nothing wrong. Reinstalled RAM and there wasn't a problem. I don't understand why the game ran fine a few days ago and does not run now. Every other game I own runs fine! :'(

what other software was installed between when it ran and now?

can the software be disabled?

have you done a virus scan/rootkit scan?

getting as puzzled as you are

I just uninstalled Counter Strike Source which was the only thing I installed following Sins. It doesn't make sense because I have had them installed previously and they worked fine. I just did a virus scan and found nothing. The problem still remains. :(

we are down to the desperation ideas, ie re-install dotnet to 3.5, un-install sins & re-install sins.

my next recommendation is the dotnet install from windowsupdate
