Cap ship only Cup!

So here is the deal.

 

We make 5v5 ,4v4, and so on Capital ships only games.

 

Rules are simpple.  You are allowed to use only planetary defense structures and capital ships.

 

Banned units are: Starbases and Frigates/cruisers/colonyships and scouts.

From structures frigate/cruiser bays.

Returning armada is banned also.

 

All other stuff is allowed, like culture, super wepons, repair bays, turrets and hangars. As well as all economical structures. And ofcorse a Capital ship bays (duh...)

 

Sign in this thread for participation. So that we know when people are online and we can start a round.

Winners can be posted here.

We will pug so Smurfs that no body knows are NOT welcome. Only real names and/or well known smurfs, like  my vampire kirby ^__^.

 

 

Also note: If you must leave the game and have structures and planets, dont quit! Surrender, othervice AI will take over and fuck it all up. This is must since we dont have actualy Mod for this... yet.

 

I am hoping that ICO culd write a quick game mode that simpply removes the option to build frigate bay and removes it from start and also disable returning armada. (its realy that simple) But i dont hold my breath for it...

Annatar made a mod for this about a year ago, at my request and according to my specifications, but sadly it's now outdated and won't work with the current versions of either Entrenchment or Regular Sins.  (It also prevented the AI from mucking things up.)  I'm pretty sure that Hanger Bays were not allowed since you can't build defense vessels or your own carrier frigates to counter them, although I suppose you could build capital ship carriers.

The nice thing about the mod is that it increased the total maximum capital ship fleet supply up to 40 and gave you more capital ships for each upgrade level.  I think it also significantly decreased the amount of experience the ships needed to level up.

It's a shame that every mod and map needs to be updated after each significant game update.

Hangar bays can get you max of 20 or so squadrons into one GW.

 

If you dont mix in there any fighters, the capship squadrons will tear them for free EXP.

And remeber that cap ships got all sorts of fun stuff to deal with enemy strike crafs...

 

 

Also, disclaimer, This thread has nothing to do with 2 girls 1 cup, its just for signing in and not biching abaut some random suff. So are you in our out?

never tried playing like this but I'd bet it'd be a pretty steep uphill battle for advent.  Not sure who'd have the edge between vasari/TEC though I'd wager Vasari for the ability to stack repair cloud not to mention nano disassembler

all races got they pros and cons.

 

Advent got teeth too. Dont believe me? Go try playing against me.

 

Tec got antimatter advantage in culture

 

Vasari got good capital killers by default...

 

like i said, there is possible combinations and other builds you can make from one race capships, or play as a team and go fo the most homo combination.

I used to host cap only games a while ago, but people would purposely join and screw things up. Consistently. If you get this off the ground, count me in.

Im in for one of these games and i think advent would be one of the top chioces seeing how their hanger bays and turrents are by far better then any other races.  but im only on around 8pm - 3am EST any more and thats only on wed-sat.  but yeah i think this would be fun for the most part.

Removing the ability to scout (other than the advent's cap ability, and culture-spies) would make the game pretty different.  Kinda sounds fun, though.

I'm in we should either use the real capital ships mod or the mad scientist mod... if the game takes a couple days to get going then we should try the mod I'm making.... capitals in the reg. game aren't balanced. TEC'd beat everything else to shit... 'cept the vasari egg.

All races got they own gay stuff in capitals.

 

TeC got dunnovs and gay sovas and what not.

 

Advant got Reverence and detonate antimatter and other gay stuff too.

 

Vasari got Egg and repairing carrier and whatnot.

 

 

It realy needs team play of all races to win, one race wont do it.

Yeah, I downloaded the Mod too, (from the other thread) and tryed it in SP.  It works great.  But I was unable to find a game online.  Altho, there was a "Cap Ships Only" game, already underway early this morning, using the mod.  (Kli & SuperGirl were in it).

Maybe we need to set a time for a game?  Like maybe 10:15 AM EST?  Saturdays & Sundays?  Anyone have a suggestion?

EDIT:  OK, that was too early.  How about 1:15 PM EST?  Which equates to 10:15 AM Pacific Time, here in California.  PS. I can't host either

i was in it too, but general populus of Sins is faggy abaut it, ive been spamming the instructions how to install the mod and trying to get some movement into general sins community...

 

but the general IQ of human is below carion worm so dont exept too much.

 

also i cant host so i need someone else to host. if you can host
