HOW TO INSTALL:
1.) download the awesome Mad Scientist Mod v2.5 for entrenchment.
2.) Install Mad scientist mod. (you should probably back it up.)
3.) Download my GameInfo file folder here

4.) Extract the files to the Mad Sci. Mod gameinfo folder and select "Move and Replace"
5.) Play (pref. online so I can make this thing more balanced.)
This mod improves and re-balances the capital ships for the three races. I.E. you can actually forgoe a normal "fleet" and just build cap. ships; It'll be a pain in the ass, and you might get totally slaughtered if you're not careful, but it is possible. So be brave, try the other capital ships. They don't suck anymore.
This rebalancing occurs via either improved abilites with leveling, an improved amount of SC (for cap. carriers especially,) and new weapon banks. NEW WEAPON BANKS = YOU SHOULD TAKE CARE WHEN DECIDING WHICH DIRECTION TO ATTACK FROM!
The Long range frigates should be fairly equal now. But I'm still balancing them... I need to do more testing in mutiplayer & help would be appreciated.
A little something about the Star Bases: They're fully upgradeable. I did this because it gives fortifiers a chance to survive rushes. You may say that that makes star bases OP... I'd have to reply, IT TAKES LOOONG TO GET THEM UPGRADED. The TEC and Advent bases can now move (Sloowly,) this was done to stop complaints about how you can attack a SB from above with impunity.
This mod has had some testing done, but its still a baby. I want to organize some online games that I can record, this way the process of "tweaking" the mod further goes much faster.
I'm working on getting the fighter behavior enabled on most of the cruisers and frigates... this along with improvements to the scouts (armor, damage) should go quite a ways to make the game a bit more fair. And random.
