Windows 7 Ultimate RTM problem

I'm having a problem lauching the demo of Sins. 

 

I have impulse installed, and I can download and install the sins demo... but when I choose to run it, nothing shows up. I do see a "Sins of a Solar Empire.exe" running in the processes list, under my username with about 23MB of memory used. 

 

It's very strange...it's like the program is running, but it's not showing up on the screen.

Actually, I got it fixed. I reinstalled the video card driver using the Windows XP version of the driver, instead of using the one bundled with Windows 7, and now things are launching.

 

For anyone else's reference, I have a Mobile Radeon 9000 on a Dell Inspiron 600m (circa summer 2005).
