video problem

I'm typing this for a friend of mine, who has difficulty reading.  His system generally works fine but he has encountered a problem with SOUS.  Whenever he plays his map is pixelated  and he needs to cycle through a number of resolutions and refresh rates etc.  Then he'll find something that he can see with (not great but playable) until he shifts from one gravity well to another.  He uses a system with vista and a new ati video card with the latest drivers.

That's odd. What resolution is he running the game at, and what is the native resolution of his display?

I'm not sure what his native resolution is but he's pretty good at keeping his display within the limits of his card.  And he has to cycle through a bunch of reolutions during the game just to get a playable game.

i have the same problem, but it doesn't stop at sins. several other fullscreen games have texture problems on my machine. it just started for me after i reformatted, i think there might be something wrong with the video drivers or video card settings. i've tweaked my card settings all over and tried different display options but the problem doesn't go away..

i'll probably try another reformat to see if it corrects the problem.
