While I agree that Advent ships are fancy and at times a little weird but the same could be said for Vasari. And I dont think this makes them female just because its religious or weird in nature.

Take a look at the space station. Everything is cylindrical. If you  made me guess, I'd say space ships will probably end up being shaped like the evacuator ( the space egg ). I say this because it's a round structure that's relatively flat that could store stuff.

I prefer Advent just because of how their ships look. Some of them are a bit weird looking, like the flak frigate. But the capitals, even the shoe/pepperoni, are just beatiful but deadly.

TEC capitals i like too. They have that heavy duty warship look, things that can take a major beating before going down. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done.

And Vasari ships are mostly very cool looking too. Personally i think the Vulkoras Desolator is the best looking ship in the game. Especially in red.

Interesting see if IC can keep the races distinctive styles intact in Diplomacy, and i'm not talking only about ships

Well, the advent are also into neurochemicals, some of their ship designs might have been influenced by a trip. Because of it I think they have by far the best looking ships. The Kol, enforcer, and most of the Vasari capital ships of are similar quality, but their other ships just aren't the same quality.

I like the Kol. I wish it was called the Koi, because that's what it looks like to me. A big, powerful, steel fish.

The Radiance reminds me of a shark.

I don't mind most Advent looks. I believe they're mostly well done (aesthetically).
Much better than some Vasari ships (namely the Assailant and the Carrier cruiser) and, sadly, most TEC ships.
Assailant, Garda, Kodiak... seriously, no matter how mindlessly drunk I was, I would NEVER believe that any sentient race would construct a space frigate that looks like THIS.
I know the Devs wanted the ships to be unique, interesting and different between races, but this is just ridiculous.

Back to the Advent.

What totaly drives me away from advent are their maniacal, crazed, bloodlusted voices resembling obsessed, posessed and retarded girls that watched too many Power Rangers episodes.

Yes, the Garda looks retarded. But I like the Kodiak a little, and the Sova a lot.

The only pleasant Advent voice is the lady who says "Planet development complete" and other crap.

Oh, and the Halycon is hideous. What is the deal with the Advent and seashells, crustaceans, and starfish!?

I forgot to mention; the Advent colony vessel is my favorite Advent vessel. It just looks awesome.

Some of their voices are really well-done, though. And it is hilarious to hear the Revelation yell "REVENGE!" when you tell it to attack. Or with the Radiance Battleship.

Though on the Advent ship designs, most of them do look very pleasing. The Progen and Halcyon are especially beautiful ships that fit with their theme. I'd think that Advent ships look more 'fancy' is because of the Unity and general technological advances. I mean, TEC ship are essentially flying boxes with guns taped to them, and Vasari designs seem to rely on looking fearsome, and could also be outdated. The Advent had 1000 years to plan revenge on the Trade Order, and their ships show it.

Nothing beats the supreme beauty of the Sova Carrier, though.

why must you bash the little Garda? Yes, I agree, it is not a particularly nice-looking spacecraft, but its piratey cousin is FAR BETTER!
