My Modded Ship Flies Backwards or Sideways

I read the 7 Deadly Sins Tutorial V1.1 and the PDFs in the documentation of Forge Tools 3. I have rotated the model, the rootpoint, and the other null points (as a set) in combinations and individually, but no luck, my ship still always flies backwards, in-game. I have noticed that, no matter how I rotate things and whether or not I freeze the model and/or all transforms, the XYZ values never seem to change. As such, I am pretty sure I am messing something up on the Softimage XSI side of things. It has some other troubles too, but I would like to tackle them one at a time. What else can I try or how do I rotate "correctly" (i.e. other than just using 'c')? Thank you very much.

You can try exporting the model out of XSI in .obj format, then re-importing it into a new scene. Then rotate it correctly, freeze it etc.

That should fix any strange bugs happening during export in .xsi format.

Sadly, I already saved it (in the other program) as .obj and imported it. I'll try the whole process with the next model (with fewer mistakes since I have a better idea of what's going on now) and see how that turns out.

Make sure your z axis is pointing forward.  You'll see it at the bottom right of your viewport.  That indicates the direction of front.  your top null needs to be at 0, 0, 0.  then make sure your geo is frozen.  Go to transforms, remove neutral pose, then go back to transforms, freeze all transforms.  Then procede to press the freeze button at the bottom right of your screen.  This will remove any history.  This should work

Okay, if I rotate, export, re-import, and then do everything over again correctly, there is no issue. Thanks! I really do not understand why export-import seems to fix it, but as long as it works and it's simple. :)

Interesting, never knew that could happen

Usually when I create my ships, I create in a mode, which allows me to see from a screen like this:

|----------------------------------------------------------|

|      Front                      |                Other            |

|----------------------------------------------------------|

|    One Side                  |           The other side     |

|----------------------------------------------------------|
