Terraforming, Dyson Spheres, Ringworlds, and Artifical Black Holes

How To Tips for me Plz

Okay, so here's what I'd like to do- Make a planet have a passive ability on it, that calls the buff that is used by the TEC Novalith cannon to prevent colonization. Using another ability/buff set, remove this buff in a gradual process (a lot like terraforming).

With the others, I'd like to know if anyone has tips on how I might create ARTIFICIAL planets, like constructable Dyson Spheres, Ringworlds, and Black Holes.

Thoughts & How-To Tips?

Thier is no way to "graduly" remove the Radiation buff (from Novalith)

It is an on or Off thing. So it must be removed immediatly.

BUT! your ability could remove the buff, but the planet has a seiries of negitive effects that generaly disspeer over time.

You can't build planets.

hmm, good. I can essentially make a terraforming ability.

What about building a structure around a planetoid object, that is neutral (like Space Junk, or Roid Fields/Belts ONLY), and calling it a 'planet' (likely it would have to be similar to an SB)?

Well....Yea.

You could spawn a frigate, fighter, or starbase, and CALL it a planet.

Though it would probably be more accurate to call it a large moon.

a frigate would probably be the best way to set it up, as for an SB, it would require modding the SB limits. That then becomes an exploit by the vanilla races (though a giant ringworld with a massive beam cannon really can nullify that).

That's no moon...

(sorry, I had to say it :D)

yes, but the thing is, while it ISN'T a moon, I can still CALL it a moon.
