I got this game just yesterday, and I updated the game today to its full version so I could play online.  The problem is that when I go to Ironclad Online and log in, there are no people in the "users" box.

Is it that there's no one online?  Or is there a way to pull up lobbies and such? 

I don't have Entrenchment by the way, so could it be that all games require the latest expansion, and they closed off all other games?

Someone please fill me in.

You should still be able to "see" entrenchment users who are in the lobby.  You won't be able to see their games, however.  The fact that you're using vanilla (not entrenchment) could make it difficult to find games since most people online do use entrenchment.  However, you should still be able to talk to the entrenchment folks in the lobby.

I'd imagine you just got unlucky and logged in when no one was in the lobby.  The time of day you were playing could have something to do with that.

Did you reach the chat room?  Can you speak and see yourself speaking/chatting?

 

If not, I believe you must create a username for yourself.  Click on add player and make up a name you wish to be known as.  You can have as many aliases as you want.

Ah, I see what you're getting at Buttons.

After logging on your account, you need to create a username.  Click the "add player" button to do so.  You can then select the username and play online with it.  If you're getting held up at this screen, you're not actually online yet!
