CAP SHIP BATTLE ROYAL mod (v1.15) DotA style mod for entrenchment.

And the AI even still works.

This mod does the following:

1.) Removes the majority of frigates and cruisers; all that are left are scouts, utility cruisers, flak frigates, and colony frigates. These things were left in to keep the AI from throwing a hissy fit and to also help keep combat at least a little balanced.

               -a note: Scouts do antiheavy damage and have fighter behavior enabled. They are the new LF.

 

2.) Buffs and modifies the capital ships (The ships themselves as well as their abilites; for example, carriers carry a base of 4 squads and gain .5 a lvl.)

 

3.) Allows full upgradability for starbases. Which move slowly and have greater range. The Vasari still goes the same speed though.

 

4.) Adds music to the TEC and Vasari (I'm still converting more files for this.)

 

5.) Adjusts the OP repulse ability, it has less range but more speed.

 

6.) Adjusts the Mass Disorientation ability for the advent SB. Just to make it more interesting; if it's OP I'll change it.

More music.

Cap. engine speed adjustments.

Adding of planets and other rock like objects.

changes made: SB range & speed decrease. Abilites of Halcyon nerfed (it was way OP for a bit there). Combat turrets adjusted, range dec, less damage, more targets, movment enabled. Carrier SC gain rate adjuted to go up on odd levels,

edit you could use filefront or games fanatics for larger files. I had uploaded some mods for other threads to filefront and games fanatics also do not have a size limit as far as I know

If i dont download the music... will my checksum be different from those that do?

 

cause that would be crazy if some people didnt install the music, and some people did, and other people did half... and so forth.

I would post it but this forum has no spoiler tags. its unreadable anyways.

going to try and download the "optional" music and see if that helpes... cause it crashed right after it changed songs... also while selecting a bomber squadren... which is more likely it...

anteachaire,

did you use entrenchment 1.03 files as the base or was it an earlier version? it is missing the rendershields true line in each of the scout entity files which suggests to me that it is from either 1.01 OR 1.02 that your reference files came from.

this WILL cause a MINIDUMP.

also UpgradeTypeCount exceeds the maximum allowed. 22 requested but only 9 allowed. If a larger number is needed bug a programmer!

and some errors occur in the starbase entity's as well.

had you tried the folling settings in your user.setting file

LogOutput TRUE
ShowErrors TRUE

I found the errors with these settings  in my 1.03 entrenchment install

Thanks for the heads up! I fixed most of those this evening; with all the diff. files I'd uploaded there was some confusion as to which files were recent. BUT I got 2 rounds of live beta done which seemed to go fairly well. 'Cept whenever power surge got used. Then it'd dump. I'm getting these error mess. too

from reading the buff, my best guess would be in the second instantaction possibly the weapon type wave as the ship does NOT have a wave weapon, it only has projectile, beam & missile.

might this be tha answer
