Capital ship combos

...

Here you can post your combos with capitals =).

This is mine  Unkillable Dunovs: If your enemy is moving in on you the best way to fend of a big fleet is to build 2 Dunovs upgrade them with sheild regenration ability and send the out in battle. The dunovs will target caps. as primary target with seheild restore but they will target other dunovs first. When a Dunov starts getting low on sheild the other uses the sheild regeneration on it so it sheild regens and it can fight once again. So one Dunov will heal another so basicly they are REALY hard to kill.

For Advent:

Radiance Battleship with the shield ability (forgot the name) uses Animosity, Rapture Battlecruiser uses Vengeance on the Radiance, Progenitor uses Malice on the enemies forced to attack the Radiance. Attacking ships recharge Radiance's anti-matter, radiance uses Cleansing Brilliance, while Progenitor re-uses Malice on the enemies.

Advent cap abilites synergise nicely :)

If you play the Distant Stars mod then the pirates have that combo, plus a Marza and Kol and a dozen other frigs just to keep your starbase busy.

My tactic realy works i had 2 dunov attack a hevely gaurded planet in multi. They didnt get a scratch from the ships firing on them

the 2/3 dunov is handy but falls prey to ships that have remove antimatter abilities,

I personally like the Kol/Dunvo combo, with the survivability of the Kol by way of its adaptive forcefield mixed with Dunvos Shield Restore improves, both have anti-SC capabilities (Kol's flak burst and Dunvo's Magnetize) and then at lvl 6 you get Flux Field/Finest Hour which turns the Kol into a Gauss Gun Firing Machine. Also the Dunvo's EMP Blast can neutralize others ships abilities and remove anti-matter. Perfect for those annoying Dunvos on the other side of the attack force.

I'm not too good at SOSE, so I may be making a major mistake about how tactically solid this combo is, but my favorite combination is the Kortul Devastator and the Jarrasul Evacuator. The Kortul acts as a large sledgehammer, battering through the enemy fleet. The Jarrasul uses it's Gravity Bomb to keep major parts of the enemy fleet from retreating, thereby ensuring that my enemy leaves the engagement hurting, hopefully quite badly. While he's trying to rebuild his fleet, I can advance, using the Drain Planet and Colonize abilities of the Jarrasul to capture his planets.

The Rapture/Radiance/Progenitor Combo's already been mentioned, so I'll skip that one.  Antorak/Jarrasul hasn't been mentioned, though (and I only JUST thought of it, actually).

The Antorak uses Distort Gravity to close the distance with the target, and once it gets there, the Jarrasul uses Gravity Warhead to slow the enemy down even more and prevent it from escaping.

Now, how about some allied racial combos? :P

Dunov shield restore is great, but if you run into a Radiance, Revelation, Jerrasul, Antorak, or the new and improved Kortul you could find one of the two disrupted while the other is focus fired.

One of my favourite comboes is Jerrasul, Skirantra, and Vulkoras.  People vastly underestimate the power of repair cloud, while nanos can rip apart enemy capital ships, and as the battle drags on the Vulkoras bombards the enemy world.  Plus, unlike the standard Advent trinity, these guys work very well as individuals and you can split them up to your heart's content (VERY nice to see an enemy panic when they realize the Vulkoras isn't with your army, but instead is bombarding a different (and mostly defenseless) planet.

This is my Task Force sized Fleet, depending on my strategy I'll either brake my Fleet supply in half and make two identical Task Forces, Or ill make one single unified Fleet. Comprised of the two Task Forces

3 Kol's w/ adaptive forcefield and guass rail gun

2 Dunov's w/ shield restore and destabializer charge

2 Marza's w/ radiation bomb and incendiary shells

1 Akkan w/ ion bolt and targeting uplink

and just for measure the support craft that i usually bring up along with it is.

SHIPS                          Task Force Size      Fleet Size

Cielos Command Cruisers            4                   8

Kodiak Heavy Cruisers                 20                 40

Hoshikos Robotics Cruisers           20                 40

Percheron Light Carriers               20                  40

Garda Flak Frigates                     27                  54

Javilis LRM Frigates                     20                  40

Arcova Scout Frigates                    5                    10

Replicate forces also works on Siege Platforms, which is bad news for the victim world. *_*

Meh, seeing as the Jerrasul was my first cap (presuming it didn't die) I'll have drain planet before I have replicate forces.  Very bad news for the victim planet indeed.

The KolxDunov is definately a favorite of mine as well, and the next patch will make this considerably better. Especially when there's multiple Kols firing off GRG. I mean, Flux Field makes GRG cost about 15 Antimatter, so it turns the ability into a 'Gauss Machine Gun'. XD

Also, DunovxMarza is extremely deadly, and a bit easier to pull off. Using EMP Charge first, followed by a Missile Barrage will even cripple Heavy Cruisers!

DunovxAdvent, if done well, is absolutely devastating. It requires Flux Field, but it's dang incredible. Also, MarzaxRadiancexProgen can work pretty good, as Missile Barrage will clear out the weaker enemies while Cleansing Brilliance will then kill off the enemy's capital ships and HCs.

Another very fun allied combo would be ProgenxSkirantra. Especially when there's multiples of both. Whatever pierces their shields will quickly be recovered by Repair Cloud.

Heck, just about anything does better with a Dunov. It's like, the perfect support ship. ^_^

Haha... I've never tried that one, nice! It will be even harder hitting when the next patch comes!

The Kol/Dunov gauss cannon machine is a bit frightening next patch! Vasari players may find themselves having to build more Marauders for crowd control! It's a pity the Marauder didn't get a bit more combat oriented love... it hits like a little girl.

I think a level 6 Marza, and a level 6 Kortul Devastator would be absolutely devastating, but I've never seen the combo.

Fire the Kortul's Volatile Nanites before Missile Barrage.  It increases damage by 30%, and as each ship dies, spreads additional damage (150 to everything within 1000 range) thoroughout the duration!

I have actually done that before with an ally... but it is hard to pull off such timingz between 2 people.

Throw Malice in and very little will survive that.

Malice and any area of effect damage ability is pretty wicked.

Disintegration+Malice+MB

or

Hmm...here's an odd one:

RevelationXDunov Combo.  Guidance reduces the cooldown (or maybe I'm thinking of another ability), while Flux Field keeps the antimatter usage at miniscule levels.  Throw in a Kol for Finest Hour, and you've got a Gauss Machine Gun of doom on hand. B)

Not to imply that's a bad combo (it isn't; that sounds positively deadly), I haven't seen very many cases in multiplayer (at least where victory isn't already in the bag) where I have multiple level 6 caps floating around.  I like comboes that don't require high levels.  I mean, consider the holy trinity: Progen, Radiance, Halcyon.  They don't need to be leveled up at all.

I like using a Kortul x Vulkoras. If the Kortul is at level 6, just use volatile nanites at a mob of frigates, move the Vulkoras in close and drop a Phase Missle Swarm. If timed right, you can clean out quite a bit (especially if the frigates are all bunched together).

The Ultimate Anti-Fighter Combo:

Kol w/Flak Burst followed shortly by Halcyon w/Telekinetic Push.  First, Flak Burst wipes out most, if not all fighters surrounding the ships, while the epic Bitch-Slap of Doom(tm) then deals damage to whatever's left AND knocks them out of range.
