Using resources on neighboring asteroid belts

Hi Ive been playing a little bit and noticed there are some resources, metal and crystal located in certain areas that are not colonizable but adjacent to one of my planets. How can I get extractors to those locations to reap the benefits? Please let me know...i know its a very easy answer but i dont know what else to do. I tried making matter processors but those only go to my extractors within my gravity well...just curious if theres a way to get to them...thanks

if playing TEC or Advent use frigate colonizer, playing Vasari use scout

also you can use the TEC and Vasari refineries to effect those asteroids if you have a colonizable planet next door, just place them in the gravwell with the planet and the game will take care of the rest

Refineries for TEC and Vasari. Advent cannot exploit these extra resources beyond capturing them. Refinery ships visit any owned extractor within one phase jump of the refinery they originate from.
