Terror Stars and Mobile Resources; Whats up with that?

Just built my first Terror Star on a resource Starbase and carted the resource away! Is that how its supposed to work?
Also the resource graphic attached to the Terror Star seemed to disappear on reloading (bug?)

Life Force Resource; does it still exist in the game? If so does it still give PQ bonus like the manual says? If not can I mod it back in? (lurve those Garden of Eden planets baby)

Never saw LF resource , but about "treveling" resources , yes it works this way, is it bug - hardly , nobody complains :), btw: if you TStar destroyed it will "lay a egg" :) , the resource will be left on place of destruction :)

No, the Life Force resource is not in the game.

I'll check out the resource icon disappearing from the terror star, but you are supposed to be able to move it.  After all, you're building the terror star around it.

Yeah, I guess the alternative (disengaging from the resource) would be somewhar annoying.

No life force resource! Do you know how many times I redid my map on my first game (ctrl-n) to get one of these babies, to no avail? I guess it was found to be too unbalancing huh? Was the 'terraformer' introduced to replace it?

Terraformer has been around...yes, once you get beyond a certain level of PQ ability, it's extremely imbalanced and it can mess up your economy.

Well, yes, but if the resources can be moved, why aren't they just tugged to a nice planet and mined there?

I'm not fussed, I can't really see why you would build a terror star on a resource anyway.

(sorry, I use Opera, and as far as I an tell the quote button doesn't work for that)

Because it's less expensive to do the mining in space. If you build a terror star around the resource, it's generally to move it into safer territory.
