How to have an unlimited fleet supply

I like the Advent Rapture capital Ship. When you get to level 6 you can use the Domination ability and convert enemy ships to your own. I just completed a game to test how many ships you could convert and got a fleet size over 6000. I used 16 Rapture capital ships and would go into a battle and convert their entire fleet and destroy what couldn't be converted. I only needed to fleet upgrade enough to be able to create enough initial slots for 16 capital ships (16x50). Then I just began converting enemy ships. This keeps your fleet upkeep costs down.

One word of caution. Create any ships you want before your fleet capacity number goes negative. Once it goes negative then you will not be able to build your own ships. I encountered this when my missionary vessel was destroyed and I couldn't build another because my fleet capacity was -2000. I had to use Domination to convert a Vasari Jarun Navigator to be able to acquire planets.

In the end it was massive domination as I had a fleet 3 times the normal limit of 2000. When you have 16 Rapture capital ships going into a battle it is nonstop clicking from ship to ship converting enemy ships as the cooldown period for Domination is only 60 seconds. One word of caution, disable the other abilities so they don't use antimatter automatically. This will save all the antimatter for Domination.

ROFLMAO

I wondered when someone was going to pull that trick

I've always thought that the conversion shouldn't be permanent, and that having enemy colony ships still able to colonize makes no sense at all. Ships should revert to their old alleigance at like 50% hit points or something, IMO. That or there should be a cap to the number of ships a Rapture can have controlled at any one time.

Luckily, this isn't likely to happen in MP due to the logistics of getting 16 level six Rapture class battlecruisers. Still, it should be looked into, when time allows.

A long time ago you could pull this same trick in Star Craft w/ Dark Archons, and be able to play all three races' worth of units at once. Protoss w/ Zerg pets were always amusing.

Probably want at least one progenitor and one halcyon for combat-related reasons.  Otherwise, this is one way to create a supermassive fleet.

Maybe a way for an Advent player going for eco in pocket to get at least some fleet.

The idea of Advent turning massive numbers of Kol and Marza's against the TEC is hilarious. Id love to watch an entire fleet of friendly vessels wipe its creators out.

Doesn't work on caps.

TIME FOR ANOTHER MODDING TIP!!!!

Mod Tip #54,992,013 (more like #1, but a big # is FUNNY!)- Change the target filter to have 'numObjects 2' (<-not 1, like original), and add the following line-> 'object "CapitalShip"'. Boom. Domination that captures caps.

But I must say, Domination is really more of a space-hacker styled ability, not a 'psionic overpowering' style one.

i personally normally carry 4 raptures (in a mix of 16 capitals) alongside 3 of everything else.

The ability is okay but can easily be scuppered by disciple vessels with steal antimatter which can leave you badly outnumbered as you get just 16 capitals to take on other fleets which can have a number of caps as well.
