Quite honestly what i want is the expansion to a game that i own without needing to risk all my money for it, Is that such a bad thing to ask for?

Nope i do not own a credit card and i dont plan to in any future.

Last thing i hade to ask my parents to buy for me was a microwave... And that was because i hade spent all the money i could on stuff for my appartment.

do you have Shops in your town or you living in the hills LOL go to a shop buy disposable credit card you can get them in most countries top it up to the amount (i would just above the amount due to exchange rates) and buy that way no-one gets hold of your bank details or card details problem solved

I live in europe, Sweden to more specfic, People dont use checks and banks dont hand out check books. therefor i cant get any checks nor would they accept a check even if i could manage to get ahold of one, Since apprently only U.S checks are allowed.

I will not sign up for credit cards as i know several people who have lost alot and i do mean ALOT of money for it

PayPal = E-bay = Scam. Sounds stupid i admit but i always use other sites to sell off un-wanted equipment.

Also, ask your bank - these types of cards are not specific to the US, and many major banks worldwide provide them.  Western Union sells them over here, so Fexco might sell them in Sweden.

Even better to avoid any fees, open up your own account solely for the purpose of using it to purchase things online (you *can* have more than one bank account).  Walk up to the bank teller and hand over only the amount of money you will use at any given time.  Use the card to purchase precisely that value of goods.  Your account will now be at zero.  If someone stole the card, it would be useless to them for any reason beyond opening poorly locked doors or as a very light paperweight.  If the experience is too terrible, close the account down and chop the card up with scissors until you're content.  If not, keep it at zero until the next must-have-but-is-only-availble-through-digital-download item comes along and then do the same thing.

yeah were the flamers cause we came in here gave you credible options, you shot them down then got upset when we told you off for being paranoid. If anyone is the flamer its you, you made up a thread so you could ask for peoples advice then shot them all down as if the world was out to get you.

Honestly, some of us replied a little hotly to you, but there were very few times (if ever) that you replied kindly back to any of us. If you notice, in the beginning of your thread no one is so called "flaming" you, but after a few of your unsavory answers it all starts flying. it doesn't take sherlock holmes to figure that one out.

BrotherShepherd makes a good point though, we live in an age when anyone can track you with a little time spent on google. i can also see the point of 'we rely on technology too much' cause we do everything is done online or through email. its hard to find phone numbers for support lines in game manuals and oh my god if we actually want to see our money (which isnt worth the paper its on if you live in the states). if the world went into a global blackout or the major financial cities were wiped out accross the globe the markets would grind to a halt b/c barely anyone keeps a valid hard copy account these days.

any if you don't think it could happen, 9/11 until that happened ppl thought that America was impervious, sure woke us up didn't it? the problem is with all our technology we've become arrogant but when (since its just a matter of time really) it all fails it wont be a wake up call like 9/11 and pearl harbor before it, it'll be a global disaster.

OP, your best course of action is to contact [email protected] and see if you can work something out.  And to some of the others, some places really don't have disposable debit cards and the like.  Some online stores won't accept them (I don't know SD's policy on disposable debit cards, BTW).

The obvious solution here is to give a friend, who isn't afraid of using credit cards, $10 and have them gift purchase the expansion for you. Maybe that's the one he came up with.

I think we chased the guy away. good riddens, he really only came in here to pout about not being able to buy the game the way hes been used to. Going to walmart and getting the hardcopy. The reality is game companies are shifting to downloadable software instead of the wasted money that goes with hardcopies. Hes behind on times and just wanted to troll.
